Quick Observation

We were scoping some lines on the backside of ozone, standing on skiers R aspect above girlfriends chute. We observed a recent slide down one of the chutes on far skiers L, which was recent in the last 48 hours (unsure if it was human or natural triggered). We traversed along the ridge in attempt to look for the crown, but couldn’t find it; however based on the debris, we estimate a size 2-2.5. We decided to not ski the line due to cold temperatures and conditions, and as we walked away, a 10x10ft chunk of the cornice broke off where we were standing, and tumbled down the chute below. The cornice block did not trigger any slides on the slope, but the cornice block carried half way down the chute. We observed about 20-25ft of overhanging cornice across the entire ridge.
