Cowboy Ridge

Staying at K&C hut for a few days. Toured around on top of Cowboy Ridge and the Coral area. Beautiful day up there but snow was very wind affected. Did a couple laps down to Singing Pass looking for better snow in the trees but was very deep and heavy.

Dug a pit to the ground (not too hard right now) and did a column test. Two failures - H5 at 30cm down, below new snow on surface hoar layer. H7 down ~70cm just above hard crust.
