Rode the Wolverine. We had low expectations as it was spring time in the parking lot but we found a winter wonderland up top! Temps were sitting around -5 and the day started out grey bird with light snow. As the day progressed it warmed up and we were treated to some blue bird. Found 180cm in some protected trees on a E and NE aspect around 1700m. The storm snow was setting up with the warmer temps. We came across one day-or-two old avalanche tucked up in some steep trees. There weren’t any obvious signs of instability, but you could definitely feel your track brake through the crust and the facets underneath made the snow pack feel bottomless. Stucks were plentiful, winter we’ve missed you!
