Tryst Chutes
Persistent Weak Legs,
Wednesday 1st March, 2023 4:10PM
<p>Skied a few laps of the tryst lake chutes today and found generally good ski conditions. As per the bulletin there was approximately 10cm of new low density surface snow above slightly older and consolidating storm snow and wind slabs from last week. No pits dug but could feel an obvious interface 30-40cm down that was hardly confidence inspiring.
Little to no wind effect at ridgetop along the uptrack and below in the chutes, though we did notice wind transporting snow on alpine ridgetops and in the commonwealth valley this afternoon. Far skiers left chutes had visible wind effect and we had no interest in going over there.
Nice day weather wise with light snow (no notable accumulation) and temps around -10c.
