We had a nice day skiing in the RMR backcountry. The sun was out above the valley cloud, and fortunateky it wasn't as warm as expected. First, we went south and skied a lap of Montana Trees. Snow was quite wind effected in the open areas closer to ridgetop, but was pretty good in the trees. For our second lap, we went out to Greely Trees. The snow in Greely Bowl on the way there was very wind effected, but still decent. In Greely Trees, snow quality was great. There was lots of soft tree bombs, which were the main hazard. A few small natural avalanches had come down recently on the steep slopes above Greely Lake.
