Great powder in the trees. Felt like the right place to be given the avalanche rating in the pass. Close to the top of the ridge wind affected snow on the western side so we move more north and less wind affected snow. Before the top of the ridge we had some large whumps. So turned around. Further up on the ridge that faces west saw one size 1 avalanche that looked naturally triggered and a couple days old but did not travel far or trigger the weak layer.
