Test pit in the steep peak area. 12:30pm, mix of light rain/snow flurries @2050m North aspect, probed on average 130cm. CTH 25 sudden planar down 70cm, repeated on preserved surface hoar(Dec 7) Breakable crust up to 1950m with 50cm saturated snow below. Coverage in the trees is slim. Snowing 1600m and above when we left the hills.
