Went for a lap up to the Bonney Moraines on 25/01/05. Travel in and out of Loop Brook is quite rugged with a few creek crossings to overcome. The Elephant's Trunk is quite firm and exposed and required a boot back. Once above things improved but still a low snowpack it seems for this time of year. The top half provided some decent turns but once into the thicker trees with the warmer temps and settlement the ski quality diminished. Fingers crossed for more snow:)
