Went for French Haig rob and hole in the wall today, started at 5:45am was - 2 in the parking. hole in the wall looks thinner but do able we opted to skip out have seen it in better condition. Got to the head wall of Robertson col in white out conditions, a few very puckering large settlements within a 75m distance approaching the headwall had sent us back the way we came down French creek, few more noteable whoompfs on the way out. Winds were moderate to strong until they broke early afternoon in the alpine with new snow upto 5cm + (Dense wind affected powder from tree line to col) great skiing compared to wat we have had tbh... (rob col had slid big in the last warming cycle but still felt upside down and very winter like with soft slabs of wind blow pow atop crusts and underlying facets)... significant transport and light new snow made things feel very wintery. a danger rating of 3-2-1 to start the morning would have sufficed. Very winter up high something to be mindful of during the next few days. Spring disappeared at higher elevations over night, spoke to a group who walked out of talus today, they experienced similar snow conditions with a slope they said they circumnavigate cause it didn't feel right. Was 2 degrees in parking when we left at 12:45pm
