Test pit at 1950m on NE aspect. HS 405cm. 25 deg. CTE down 25 under new storm snow CTH resistant planar down 40 under burried windslab CTH resistant planar down 65 on rounding surface hoar We pushed slightly higher along the steep (30-40 deg) sparsely treed shoulder and further testing produced moderate sudden planar result down 70 cm on 10-15 mm surface hoar. The crystals were lying flat, i.e. not standing upright, but that was enough to make us turn around.
