Deeper than it looked

We went sledding up at Owl Head today. Poor visibility kept us in the trees where we were pleasantly surprised to find soft, and sometimes deep riding. It was a windy day, we could see the tree tops moving, and suspect that snow transport was occurring up high with the potential for new wind slabs to be forming.
