There was 10 to 15cm of new snow starting to be wind affected by moderate wind from SW. The wind deposit snow on lee slope and in the gullies. We experienced variable surface condition: wind slab, crust, ice, powder. Around 1400, above 1200m the wind slab was getting densier and more slabby. We dig a pit and made a Column Test - NW aspect - 1250m elevation - 140cm snowpack - 15cm of breakable wind slab on top - Down 30cm: 2cm of rain crust - Down 50cm: 5cm of faceted snow - 85cm above the ground was 1F, wet snow, without weak layer. - Result was : CTM14 (RP) down 30cm on IF 2

Snow conditions were: Crusty, Wind affected, Powder. Weather conditions were: Warm, Cloudy. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Steep slopes, Convex slopes. Riding quality was ok.
