Tryst Ridge / Pigs Back

We headed out from Tryst Trail head up Tryst Ridge at about 10:30 AM and descended down an avalanche path into valley below Pig’s Back. Slope was stable, well covered with 25 -30 cm of snow. Some wind loading noted from the west. Temp on decent was -8 C in sunny skis. No issues to note. Skinned along valley to Pig’s Head and up to lake and across to the alpine ridge of the Commonwealth Loop. Clouds had moved in and provided some coverage from the sun. Temp at ridge was -4 C. Skied alpine slope to valley and back out to trail head by 3:30. Some pin wheeling & releases on sunny aspects noted throughout the valley but nothing significant to note.

Snow conditions were: Deep powder. Weather conditions were: Cold, Sunny. We rode: Alpine slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Convex slopes, Steep slopes, Sunny slopes. Riding quality was amazing.
