Dolomite circuit

Whumphing on mellow and flat slopes up in the alpine. At times, you would be breaking trail and punch through to the mid pack only to wallow in the facets. There was about 2-3cm new snow BTL in sheltered areas. At tree line and above the snow is best described as variable. 10cm of windslab some places and a few meters away, sastrugi as hard as ice. The wind surely was as strong in this spot as elsewhere in the forecast area as 2-3 day old naturals were observed on south and west faces.
