Reloaded bed surfaces

Evidence of widespread avalanche cycle, likely during last week’s storm. Anything that was open enough to ski had slid and the few pockets of terrain that hadn’t slid were suspect. HS at 2290m = 70 cm. Quick trail side dig revealed facets/crust from ground to 30 cm, then the Dec 5 rain crust with scattered surface hoar then 40 cm new snow. We skied previously avalanched terrain.
