7000’ NE facing slope 85 cm of new CT failed on 20 @ 45 cm 22 @ 65 cm Shovel shear @ 65 cm The bottom 20 cm of new snow seemed to be bonded to the ice layer. There was a weak layer at that 20 cm. There had also been a lot of wind by the appearance of the ridges. We avoided big slopes and stuck to the trees and ditches. I did not see any signs of instability.
