Quick report
Toured up to the Sweeney Peak ridge from the trailhead (road totally clear of snow to 6000') and skied the east bowl into One Horse before the true Sweeney summit. The bowl off the true summit had significant wind scouring while the bowl we skied held plenty of great snow. There was some light wind loading on isolated east facing slopes near ridgelines, but we did not observe any significant reactivity or slabbing on that layer. Beneath the new snow from Saturday was a hard, refrozen surface. The skiing was great and although the weather was warm and sunny with a light breeze, we observed only minimal shedding along exposed rock below 7400'. Some upper elevation slopes around cornices and rock outcroppings had large wet slide debris, but that appeared to be fairly old and was partially buried by new snow. The exit on the approach ridge below 7000' involved some bushwhacky, skis-on-skis-off faffery back to the trailhead, but we got back to the car with skis on. Skiing up high
