Quick report
Started at 7:40 at Silver Fir with the STOUT 1/4” to 1/2” thick, generally supportable freezing rain crust from base to top around 3800’. At least the freezing rain generally protected the snow, and coverage remained okay. Up high, rain runnels along the snow were minimal so skiing on the ice layer wasn’t too bad, but down low where runnels formed and the crust was less supportable, things were icky to put it lightly. Definitely easy to injure yourself out there if you lose control. Moved to West and finished with a ski up Wildside, which had much better skiing on groomed snow. Temperatures between 31-34 F with some light sprinkles of rain, intermittent waves of fog, and light east wind.

Clear D1-D2 slides visible below Kendall Peak (see photo). Couldn’t discern much else around.
