Quick report
Noticed some "loud" snow, not cracking/collapsing but noisy to travel on above the Austin pass entrances to the swift creek basin. Wind effects were visible everywhere including down by the parking lot, mostly sculpting around trees/terrain features. Top layer of new snow seemed to be nonreactive (6" pole pits). A fair amount of sluffing was observed on steeper rollovers in the trees, and a few lines had released enough snow to reveal the most recent rain crust. Mixed to poor visibility.
