Quick report
Clouds, light winds, and surface crust kept wet loose avalanches in check. No avalanche danger in observed terrain other than isolated wind slab pockets on unsupported, northerly slopes. Snowpack layering above the EFC could produce atypical avalanches with coming storms.

Convective clouds building through the morning and light southwest winds.
Snowpack
Crust on all aspects to 5900' - firm and supportable on solar and breakable and grabby on shaded slopes. Surface hoar 5mm and larger up to 5900', even on wind-exposed ridgelines - melted down on solar aspects as those surfaces warmed. 10cm of recent snow over pencil-hard wind slab from previous southeast winds. Interfaces from storms since early February are still quite visible and with noticeable differences in hardness. 5cm of 4F 1mm facets over EFC - ECTP at this layer. EFC is down 30-50cm on northerly, wind-loaded slopes and less on solar and wind-scoured slopes. Solar aspects made for nice turns by midday with warming.
Avalanche
Numerous wet loose to D2 all aspects mid and upper elevations, most were on east through south through west aspects and initiated in cliffy terrain.
