5700’ East aspect, overcast wind calm, temperature on mission data logger 45f, boot pen. Variable 7cm to crotch deep, HS 120cm, snow to the ~90cm (the solstice crust) was pretty durable and consolidated, a shovel shear test revealed several discontinuities that failed, but did not propagate. The snow blow the solstice crust was completely transformed approximately 15-20cm. Two isolated column test failed on 13, the second one displaced when the 15-20 cm of transformed snow collapsed. Point release sloughs observed on many steeper slopes,
