Elkhorn hills on the backside of prospect and Procter

There was about 6 inches of new snow. The skies were clear and it got very warm. T-shirt weather out there. The snow was very punchy over the slightly exposed southerly sagebrush ridges and often you would drop down through the snowpack to the ground. On the ridges where there was more consolidated snow, the snowpack was supportive. All the collapsing we had was on the ridges and was widespread. There was little windy today and no clouds while we were out until 1:30pm. Solar was heating up the snow quite a bit.
