Toured up to the CD col at ~9200ft. Parked approx 1mi from the heliotrope TH, and was able to skin the entire way baring a couple small water crossings that had melted out. Above treeline everything was wind affected, ridgelines and certain areas were scoured and icy while others a combination of windboard & wind buff. There was some enjoyable turns to be had, generally above 7500ft was the best. The windboard/new snow was generally 4-6" deep with a firm crust underneath, it was failing pretty easily and coming off in hard chunks. Glacier was well filled in, even down low was great compared to what I remember from last year. Turned around at the col due to very high winds & the roman wall looked extremely firm and not conducive to skiing. Lots of wind transport up high with the wall looking vert textured. Some brave souls battling the spindrift on the polish route, kuddos! There was also what looked to be a decently sized cornice at the top of the roman wall, although it could have been a snice/ice feature as well.
