Quick report

We traveled into the upper headwater meadows and found the snow pack had condensed considerably in the past few days. Ranging between 85cm @ 8000’ to 115cm@9000. Test pits were failing at 8 rust taps on the top35 cm of new snow and stifling slab. Above 8500’ wind slab was wide spread and very unstable. Temps were rapidly warming to 29deg by 2 pm. Pushed hard on short steep test slopes with no failure. But it seems like the president slab has a hair trigger and won’t take much more loading.
