I did not stop and glass while driving...until I saw this obvious wet slab with my naked eyes at 70 MPH. The snowpack on shaded slopes at middle and upper elevations has not transitioned to a spring snowpack. Weak layers buried during the season are becoming wet for the first time. I expect to see more wet slab avalanche activity, with the potential for a more widespread cycle if weather conditions allow.
