Mostly calm with a NW wind near ridgetops. Mostly sunny with some late afternoon clouds.
Snowpack
Snow depths:
HS = 40-100 cm. HST = 30-45 cm since 12/13.
Weak Layers:
(12/13) was down 30-45 cm. This layer produced widespread collapsing everywhere except due S and SW. It presented as IFrc/SH/MFcr on solar margins and as IFrc/FC on shaded slopes.
(@ Ground) Facets were both moist and dry, 1-3 mm. The largest facets were in shallower snow on shaded low-elevation slopes.
Surface:
Warming from the sun put a thin MFcr at the surface on steep souths.
Avalanche
A few small sun-induced loose snow avalanches. Middle elevation, rocky terrain.
