Quick report
Snow was soft and right side up in Great Scott Basin and Big Trees. Besides a couple of moderate gusts and plenty of spindrift coming down off the cliffs, minimal wind transport was observed by the time we descended around 1pm. Plenty of rocks lurking under the new snow in Great Scott Basin. Conditions on the Alpental exit track are much improved. Observed some minor wind affect in alpine terrain but no wind slab.

Very light snowfall in AM increasing to light snowfall around 11. Light winds with a few moderate gusts throughout the day, wind direction varied where we traveled.
Snowpack
50cm right side up snow on top of 2/7 crust observed in a wind deposited pocket near the top of Pineapple Pass. Did not observe 2/13 SH layer. N aspect, 5200’
