Departed (rare) Star Lake water hole 12:50. Retraced skin track along TRT noting a couple stable and fun (if slightly heavy looking) ski/board tracks on NW facing gully terrain. Ascended skin track toward Job’s Sister before dropping into Freel gully at around 9.7K via steep very warm slopes and one long (non-productive) ski cut. Skinned w a single ski crampon on one ski and non-coupled brake on the other in existing skin track w/o slippage. From Freel summit skied to saddle w J.S. and was able to keep skis off my pack more than expected (albeit on highly wind effected snow). Darkness skewered original (hoped for) easterly descent so skied from roughly 10.5 ridge toward saddle w Jobs. Started well and turned into worst part of day near the end (wind pillow undulations and lengthy melt outs). Headlamp skin around Jobs Canyon Bowl went surprisingly smoothly (only felt need for ski crampons briefly couple times) and snow quality crossing a number of possible lines made me drool. Was able to skin until about 300’ from Job’s summit and then meltout made trail thankfully easy to follow (w a few annoying snow drifts). Noticed no signs of instability all day except some brief small wind cracking in Jobs Bowl.
