Spent the day in the Barnes Lake area where the variable winds over the past week has built cornices and transported recent storm snow on both East and West aspects. This can make it difficult to determine what slopes have recent wind slab development. We did not observe any new avalanches today but did see older crowns where cornices had triggered the slope below. Below 1800m there was 10-15cm new snow on a meltfreeze crust.
