Challenging trail breaking led to poor snow conditions for down skiing. Widespread Very Soft Slab (Fist to Four Finger resistance) in all areas exposed to wind. Limited wind effect in dense tree zones. No signs of natural activity, or reactivity from our trail breaking. Limited visibility due to continual snow showers. Occasional ridge top views showed moderate cornice development, but still small/tender in size. Multiple parties in 8812/Ursus trees had already departed the area when we returned to the Balu trail at 1430.
