Quick report
It took a couple hours and several modes of transportation to get to snow, but it was worth the effort for a beautiful day in the mountains.
- Surprise! More glide cracks, and a handful of small glide avalanches.
- Northerly slopes have seen some recent loose wet activity.
- The snow surface on north and northeast wast the least supportable. Maybe it needs a couple more freeze/thaw cycles.
- We found perfect corn at 6500 on a west slope at 11 am, unfortunately we were still on the ascent.
- We dropped into a sunny northwest-facing couloir at 3:30pm and were surprise that it was still firm.
Aside from one small loose wet on a southerly slope, it was a quiet day out there.
Saw a small natural loose wet slide on a steep south slope at 7800'. Could initiate small roller ball frenzies by throwing snowballs down a northerly slope.Weather

Patch semi-supportable surface crust (5cm) on wet snow.
Avalanche
Saw a small natural loose wet slide on a steep south slope at 7800'. Older small wet loose and glide avalanches. Possibly saw a recent small soft slab in the distance on a windloaded northeast slope.
