Quick report

Toured into the north Gallatin range on Sunday. Snow coverage below 8500’ was mostly new snow. On a north facing slope around 10,000’, I saw a fair amount of large grained facets underlying the new snow. Not much of a slab was present on top of the faceted layer. Two small wind pockets had been pulled out by some other skiers on an east facing slope around 9700’. There was evidence of scour on some west faces, with some deposition on east facing slopes.
