We found a recent minor skier-triggered avalanche of storm snow on the backside in the Beaver Mountain Backcountry. Some riders don't know that this is the backcountry and that avalanches can occur here. People should travel with a partner, cross potential avalanche paths one person at a time, while the rest of the party watches from a safe place, and carry proper avalanche rescue equipment.
Even a small avalanche can be a problem if you are carried into trees or other terrain traps below.
