Red Flags
Collapsing, Poor Snowpack Structure

Widespread settled storm snow (approx 20 mm thick) collapsing on a 1-2 mm weak layer of facets and graupel on top of knife hard crust layer on E to NE faces at 10,000', approx 30-degree slope while approaching the E face of Broads. We turned around before getting into steeper terrain. This interface not found on N-NW faces and chutes by Dromedary and O'Sullivan.
