Quick report
On the approach to the Humphreys trail saddle several shooting cracks and isolated wind slab fracturing occurred under a skier's weight on south aspects. On north aspect shooting cracks were wide spread just off of the ridge.
Avalanche
Large wind slab avalanche (~R2-D2) released at 10 am (3/24/23) while an individual was assessing and ski cutting the slope while on belay. Terrain was obviously wind loaded and had several steep rollovers. Avalanche propagated from the location of the photo, propagating ~100' to the west and ~100 feet to the east along the ridge (only east aspect is visible in photo). Crown height was variable, 6-24" depending on the wind slab thickness. The avalanche appeared to propagate on a mid-storm density change and possible a graupel layer.
