This area remains ripe for triggering a large Persistent Slab avalanche. We found a soft, but dense slab overlying a fragile crust / facet weak layer on west through north to east-facing terrain. While we didn't travel on steep slopes, a half-dozen recent avalanches ran on west to north-facing slopes along the valley walls.
