Dug another pit at 8000ft NE facing, lower down in Memorial 3. Found a 25cm layer of graupel under a thin, soft, temperature crust, about 3cm thick. This layer disappeared in the 8600ft pit. The PWL was 40cm down, but was unreactive in tests, well rounded, and sintered.
