Quick report
We toured into bowl this morning, topping out at about 4700’ of elevation. We noted pockets of soft windslab of variable depth at the beginning of our tour. These slabs were fairly nonreactive to hand sheers or skier traffic. Winds quickly picked up and gusts were regularly transporting snow across the ravine, scouring and cross loading slopes and gullies, and filling in old ski tracks and bootpacks fairly quickly. As the wind transport progressed, our group felt that the slabs were increasing in density and depth, and seemed more reactive than when we first encountered them earlier in the morning.
