Did not observe any signs of recent avalanches within my viewshed, but light was flat and visability poor due to low clouds/mist. However I did not observe any indications of recent wind transport of snow in the area. Felt whumpfing several times while skiing up the valley bottom. Collapsing radiated out 10-20ft beyond my skis. However no surface cracking was observed.

NWS predicted sunny skies today but Old Saul didn't come through in the high country. Cloudy all day.
Snowpack
15-20cm new fist-hard snow on a supportable base in the valley bottom. Made for nice turns. Just below the south fork saddle observed riming on vegetation and snowpack surface, but it did not from a crust. Did pit at 3360ft near the base of and on the ease flank of Avalanche Gully. HS = 75cm. Got STH@60cm and CTN. Due to that result, did not do an ECT. Was surprised that snowpack in this site was so stable when compared to the very weak snowpack further SE. at Glen Alps. See my obs for that location on 1/8/26. I may have picked a pit site that was not indicative of the overall conditions in this area.
