Quick report
Dug a small pit and performed two isolated column tests. One broke after two taps about 100 cm down and the other broke after 8 taps about 40 cm down. I isolated a third column and pulled it toward me with my shovel. It broke cleanly at 100 cm. Results were somewhat inconsistent with each other, but all signs pointed toward a reactive snowpack.
