Quick report
Sniffed out some soft skiing on northerly aspects today. 6”+ of new snow above the breakable warm-up crust. S1 snowfall throughout the day cranking up to S2+ at 420pm and sustaining for the remainder of my tour. New snow was coming in right side up. Moderate northerly winds observed at ridge top actively building wind features along ridge lines and immediately off the leeward side but only noticed superficial local cracking as I exited.. probably will be more developed by tomorrow morning! No obvious signs of instability today but tomorrow may be a different story with the snow and wind.
