Snowpack
Our pit depth was 170cm down to 60cm. The layers we found were as followed. 170cm: fist, 147cm: knife, 135cm: 4 finger, 130cm: 1finger, 100cm:1 finger, 95cm: pen, 85cm: 1 fingers, 75 cm: pen 60cm: 1 finger. An extended column test resulted in a negative propagation on our 14th tap. It cracked less than 1/4 way across our column at the 147cm depth knife layer. * this is posted by someone who just completed their avalanche course. *
