Warm glop at lower elevations changing to drier snow above 5000. Good coverage from hwy to summit. Around 6800 feet on a NWish aspect I felt a loud, large collapse that seemed to propagate away from me atleast 20 or more feet. I estimate the slope was about 30 degrees.

Warming trend I guess..Mostly S and W winds with what looked like clouds carrying water vapor nearby but no precipitation today.
Snowpack
Definitely found unstable snow at high elevations in the N flathead range.. had I been in an avalanche path or in steep, rocky terrain things would have ended much differently.
