Skiied Bishop Bowl 2/14/24, found the SE facing moraine approach to be in very poor conditions, mostly melted out and very suncrusted, with a slightly east facing gully allowing for a skinnable approach. When we arrived on the plateau above the moraine, the bowl itself was plenty filled in however it was very clearly wind affected, large wind slabs and sastrugi was observed throughout the whole bowl. towards the top, a strong wind crust had formed, and strong winds nearly blew me over while skinning. We stuck to slopes less than 30 degrees, and found only isolated bits of good skiing, with variable conditions being the norm.
