Quick report

No signs of warming or instabilities noted on N aspects. Hand pits revealed 4-6” (10-15 cm) of new snow. HS ranged from ~100 cm at 9,400’ to ~160 cm at 9,750’. Air temperature was warm (high 30’s to low 40’s), and solar aspects produced roller balls around rock bands on NE/E aspects in the cirque. Ski penetration was approx 5-10 cm. Ski conditions were a generally pleasant mixed bag of breakable crust and fresh snow.

L-NC-R1-D1 slide noted on an East aspect at 9,900’ while skiing in The Office. The avalanche appeared to run approx 200 ft.
