This was an explosive triggered avalanche from an avalauncher round. This is the second time out of three that this piece of terrain failed on facets near the ground during the 2023-24 season. All three avalanches were explosive controlled. Depth of crown face is based on cornice. Average depth of the crown face 5'-7' and tapered as it moved down slope.
