- <p>As seen in the video, the old crust above 7300ft. is decaying with weak snow above and below it. The 8 inches or so of light density new snow fell on a variety of old crusts. Above about 6500ft. you can ski through this crust and the turning is decent. Below 6000ft. the old crust is supportable and the light density 8 inches is nice except on steep terrain. 6000-6500ft. the crust is not supportable and stiff to ski through. Perfectly variable conditions out there!
