Quick report
Smooth sailing up the established skin track. No immediate signs of instability during our ascent, although debris from older avalanches. Dug a pit at 3900'. Our hill was a NE aspect, 32 degree slope, with 165cm snow depth. Our ECT result was ECTP25, with an uneven shear (see video below). We observed the very strong top 75cm taking a lot of force to move on the weaker, faceted bottom layer. Our observations align with others in the upper elevation band -- a deep persistent problem that is hard to trigger but quite large if you do.
