Quick report
MF Crust wasn't observed until on due E or southerly aspects, where some ski Maverick E to Valley Trail. Moist snow surface in sunny areas below 9400' on NE-S. Snow was dry above 9400' even on sunny SE aspect about 3 pm. Saw less sign of solar impact to snow today than expected. Ski pen 10-20 cm on Maverick and climb to Chute the Moon. Light SnoBlo in valley, covering today's skin track with 2" in isolated areas. Calm on Maverick climb, L wind from S above TL. M SnoBlo fm S on Buck. Chute the Moon had F-P resistance non-reactive wind slab in the Chute wall to wall, soft and dry on apron, bench and lower Chute the Moon. I appreciated that about 6 others had already cut up the unreactive wind slab in upper Chute the Moon. No nearby class 1 data directly along route. Hand shear test on ENE 8700' was moderate, resistant planer, NSF on crust, 40 cm down with P resistance below fracture and F above. Fracture was top of crust.

Piece of cornice where it came to rest was about 20' wide, estimated from almost a mile away. Its fall caused a R1D1 dry loose on the snow covered pitch below the cliffs.
