Over the tour we observed moderate blowing snow and wind scoured surface on South and south west terrain. The snow was wind affected in the top 30 cm making it more dense when skiing down. There was little slab formation by the time we descended the slope. On the walk up in the morning I was able to get small 8" cracks to form out in front of my ski tips.

Wind was light to moderate throughout the day from the South east, sky cover was scattered to broken. The temperatures ranged from 24-26.
Snowpack
In my snowpit I found three distinct layers that all had significant weakness in structure. I was able to get CT results from the top layer 28 cm down. My touring partner in a neighboring snowpit found failure of an ECTP 26 on the middle layer 45 cm down. I found failure of ECTP 22 and PST 53/100 end on the lowest layer of concern 65 cm down. The snowpack has significant structural weakness, with cohesive slabs sandwiched between 3 weak layers.
